A tiny pamphlet stitched book with folded paper covers. A record of female occupations in my family from 1851 to 1941, based on information from the UK census. A majority of women during this time were homemakers with no listed profession, so I was interested in documenting the range of jobs that were available to women. Inspired by my two great aunts, Helen and Beatrice, who both had interesting jobs (a chief stewardess on ocean liners and an air signals manager for BOAC) that were a far cry from the domestic drudgery of their mothers and grandmothers. Digitally printed version of original ink drawings and hand lettering. Size: 52 x 74mm.
